I was going to play Saturday at Dartmouth (first round since Wrangaton on the 30th), but don't think i'll bother. So much real on Tuesday and, plenty forecast tomorrow too.
I play at a club that's also a hotel. I have found that I much prefer that sort of atmosphere having a beer after a round than a more traditional member's club. Just my opinion.
I'm looking to join a course next year. Either £375 for a nine hole course. Very easy to get tee times. Takes 25 minutes to get there with a short ferry journey. Alternative is where I used to me a member, 18 hole course, £475, 40 minute drive.
Wrangaton GC in South Devon, very friendly, down to earth club.
Churston GC when Ray Reardon was Captain and there all the time. What a gent, made all visiting golfers feel really welcome.
