Your 'worst' par?

The worst pars are the "old man golf" ones, non-event drive up the middle, safe iron to the middle of the green, lag the 1st putt up to 2ft then nudge the short one in. Easy way to make a game boring

Even worse, on a couple of our long par 4s that have cross bunkers that I can't carrry with my second shot I have been making pars with driver, 7 iron, 9 iron, putt. Sad.

Par 5 8th, 480 yards.

1. Sliced my drive towards the lake on the right to watch it bobble about on the stones and pop out just onto the verge of the lake within deep rough, with line of sight or any other meaningful shot blocked by a large oak.

2. Used a 7i with a soft swing to try and keep the ball low and send it 100y up the fairway for a safe recovery. Actually ended up slicing and thinning this shot to watch it rocket out towards the left side of the fair way only to carve round and land smack in the middle of the fair way on the 150y marker (my go to distance with the same club). It would have been a fantastic shot had it been intentional! The hole is saved and I might even get a birdy!

3. Topped the 7i right into the rough on the right of the fairway about 50y, narrowly avoiding another lake.

4. Decent contact with PW, but with a fade, to land the ball pin high but 15' to the right of the pin.

5. Holed 15' putt on the cambered green with just the right amount of pace for it to stop for a split second on the lip then fall in.
