Got my answer mods, probably best to lock the thread to avoid the hormonal men getting themselves into a tizz.
Nope they're rubbish, like little condoms for your clubsI carry and use iron covers.... Real men are comfortable with who they are and can admit to using iron covers despite the stigma.![]()
I smash my irons into the ground. Don't do that with my driver or woods. Unless of course you sky themI mean- it may chip the paint on your woods so you use them, but the irons can get dented, but your ok with that?
Problem is you have to take them off to hit the ball. Do you deliberately thin the ball so you don't take a divot and risk hitting a stone ? I think the chunks taken out of clubs hitting the ball, and the wear to the face of the clubs and their grooves affect club values more than a bit of chatter.I'm not protecting them for the 'next fella' I'm protecting them as I love them looking like they did when I brought them. And if anyone is selling their irons, I guarantee they would get more money if they were in better condition. I'm not saying anyone is arguing, just find it funny people say its stupid or pointless that people use them. I've seen these threads before and people definitely 'hate' against them.

My irons won't be emasculated by little neoprene jonnies!
No they'll just get battered about and look old before there like a "member" that's been badly treated trough lack of protection!
But it's individual choice I just like my equipment to be in mint condition so when it gets shown off it still looks as good as it performs!

Exhibitionist
So if a pink castle tee is the one for your tee height what are you meant to do? Buy wooden ones just because of the colour?
You seem very worried about anything that may suggest you swing the other way, is there something you want to tell us all?
It's not gay thing, I love the gays:thup:
It's a rubbish golf thing. Iron covers belong in golfing room 101 with castle tees of all colours, rubber tees, ball retrievers and chippers![]()

Castle tees should be banned as they give the advantage of being able to tee up the same height every time. More skill in being able to judge the height required with a wooden one. It's not gay thing, I love the gays:thup:

My excuse... I carry so don't want to cause noise pollution. :ears:
