Your Masters Champion's Dinner

In honour of Lillian English (my Grandma) and the 6 kids she raised (she had 7 but had to send one to her sisters as she simply couldn't afford to raise them all single handedly in post war Britain after her husband was killed in a coal mine in the mid 1940's)

This was the staple food of my Grandma even in the 1970's and 80's when the welfare system had started to make life a little easier for her.

Appetiser - Mucky Fat served on a buttered Maughans tea cake

Starter - Kippers with a vinegar drizzle

Main Course - Rabbit Stew served with boiled potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and mashed swede.

Desert - Victoria Sponge cake served with Carnation evaporated milk.

Edit:

Missed the drinks.

A choice of Harveys Bristol Cream, Irish Coffee, Bass Mild (pint)
