Now one of my regular playing partners has just shot his 2nd sub par round of the year whilst playing off 10. I'm curious to know what handicap people were when they shot their first sub par rounds or what's the highest handicap you've heard of shooting under par?

I had a two under round of 69 last year when playing off of 12. The closest i have come to that since is rounds of 75 a few times. I would think i have a much higher chance of a hole in one than going under par again any time soon however it is very strange what can happen with a bit of luck on your side but maintaing it for 18 holes is very difficult.

Just this year. Went back up to 8.

Bought a 3 wood and didn't hit driver all day. Hit every fairway and got to 3 under thru 12. Crapped them coming in and left a 12 foot birdie putt 3 feet short on 18. Par putt rimmed the hole jumped up then fell in for 1 under.

Day everything just clicked.

First round under par was when j was playing of 6

2 rounds under par off 10 in a year. guessing the course has a stable for is donkey whilst he plays.

no wonder us low handicappers have no chance to win nett events

2 rounds under par from a 10 HC ?!

Hope there is plenty of water supply at the course

Under par and level 9 holes quite a bit stitched on a 9 over to shoot buffer lol

Used to be level back 9 at my old club and it's the front at Lee park. Easier 9s.

LOL off 25 I'm a bit away but hopefully one day.....

My aim for this season is to do both front 9 and back 9 under 40... slightly different prospect

Oh yeh there's no way he's truly a 10 handicapper, when we play in friendly games the most I'd let him play off is 6. Thing is he play in every competition he can and for whatever reason doesn't score anywhere near as well so what's he supposed to do?

This may be true but I know I'd much rather have your 3 handicap than win my clubs monthly medal playing off 13.

great response.
as i say, my handicap is my trophy.

However, i will sure as hell continue to moan about bandits :D its just what i do

Shot -2 playing off 6 about 10 years ago, previous best was +2 so smashed it. Curiously got hit on the head by a ball on our 15th green so did extra well to par in....or more likely it killed the nerves!! Have since done -1 twice, once off 7 in a club final medal (came 2nd) and another off 6 in a GM meet at Hillside.
