Your Favorite Set Of Clubs

My first set of blades, Sounder SB IV which Ballesteros used in the states so I'm led to believe, not sure. I still have them as i won my first club championship with them. Driver would be a Ram Persimmon, we should play one comp a year with a persimmon IMO. I started playing with a cut down 7i and a Brian Hugget 3w which I loved. I've had the big berthas, then the Mizuno T Zoid, to Titleist range of drivers, back to Mizuno MP 600/650 and now Wishon which is my choice right now. And I've still got majority of my clubs including 2 more sets of blades Titleist MB 695?? And Snake Eyes, and presently playing Wishon blades.

Torn between 1960's John Letters Fred Daly's, my first grown up set and, like Homer, Dunlop Maxfli Ossie Blades [1970's].
The set of Ossie blades had led the Austrailian Masters at one stage [but not with me at the helm!]

Only had three sets

First set were called big bombers and bought them from a PX in Turkey in the 90's

Then when I took up golf properly I got a set of nike ignites

Then had a set of R9 but after 6 months got rid

And now had my current set for 3 years and they are my favourite

Can you count Phil?

Ive only had 3 sets but my favourites are Mizuno MP30's

Sold them when I really didn't need to aswell.

Best driver was Ping G10, another one I sold and regret.

If i could mix and match the favourite clubs i've had to make a set it would be:

Nike Covert 2.0 Driver
Ping G10 4 wood
Ping i 15 Hybrid 17 degrees
Ping i 15 Hybrid 21 degrees
Cleveland TA6 Irons 4 - PW c2004

and my current wedge and putter set up.

I've never been able to afford much in the way of golf gear, (still a student ;)) so I've always had to save up for my stuff so I haven't had many sets but...

My first set were some Dunlop's that my Parents got me for Christmas when I was about 10.

Then when I was about 16 and got my first job in a shoe shop, I got some RAM SDX's - Hybrid irons, with two hybrids in the set. Loved them, as I really started to get into golf properly.

Then when I was about 20 and flogging overpriced Kitchens (the retailer shall remain anon) + and on high commission, I was able to purchase the Nike VRS' which I love even more!

I've had too many bats in my brief golfing career to have a favourite anything, but.... TaylorMade V Steel 5 Wood brings back fond memories. Actually, scratch that, my current Adams 5 Wood is a MONSTER and the favourite in the bag.

I have had many sets over the years including quite a few Mizuno iron sets. My favourites were probably TP Originals back around 1990, but I really liked the MP60s too. The current MP4 aren't too bad either. Also liked Titleist 690MB and Callaway X Forged.

In terms of woods, always loved the McGregor Muirfield persimmon driver, and the Taylor Made Midsize driver and fairways, the TM 510TP, the Titleist 983K and my current 913 D3.

I used to love the 2 iron, had various models including Hogan Apex and Ping Eye 2 Beryllium Copper, and have never found a better hybrid than my Titleist 585H.

Putters, have had too many (collectible or gamer) to possibly say, but I do like the Wilson 8802/Cameron Napa blade style.

Embarrassingly, I've had loads of sets... and boredom is creeping with my current set of irons. I like my current driver - SLDR. The #4 hybrid, a TM RBZ will be staying but the #2 rarely goes just where Iwant it to go. My current irons are Titliest 712cb's, and I really should stop looking elsewhere. My putter is about 10yrs old, an Odyssey #9 centre shaft, and I just love it.

I keep visiting the 'bay, and looking at the Ping i25's... must resist.

The first set of blades I purchased with my own hard earnt money were Mizuno TP9's - absolutely stunning, both to look at and to hit! Only traded them in for MP60's, which I still currently use.
