Anyone who doesn't play to a + handicap shouldn't be buying new clubs every year. Money better spent elsewhere surely (lessons etc)

very wise words.. My pro said good players can pretty much play with any club and make it work where as not as good players always blame the lack of tech..

Some people its just vanity buying new clubs.. I personally upgraded my irons after 4 years because I decided to treat myself as its my 30th birthday in march. With the misses and I planning to start a family soon there will be very little chance of an upgrade any other time but now

Id love to get a M1 but jezzzz the price of it.. I bulked at the price of my R15 last xmas when I used my xmas cash to get one.. was only £175.. small fish in comparison

Have you had a fitting for a 915?

Yup. Didn't match the G30 no matter what settings or shafts we played with. I gamed a 910 for 2 years and loved it, the 915 really didn't work for me.

We play this game for fun and so long as people don't do anything illegal to get their clubs then it's each to their own.
Without knowing everyones personal circumstances then telling people what they should or shouldn't do is very judgemental.

A mate of mine paid our Pro back in 2000 £499.00 for the first ERC driver back in the day.

It was sheer madness then then and it still is today. (IMO)

They don't need to drop the M1 price, they have the M2

Most of the big name drivers have an RRP of £300 +. They bring out so many that discounts usually follow quickly. Tables seem to be turning and drivers now seem to be holding their price longer with less new additions being released.

Latest seem to have more material and manufacturing costs associated, and less marketing element...

Held stock will always come down at some point but I don't think you will see the same discounted prices towards the end of runs that people have been used to.

And, as a product reaches the last phase before replacement, the manufacturers are making fewer clubs so less stock needs to be discounted.
