When do belly putters get banned for amateur competitions?

Worth noting that Belly/Long putters are not being banned per se.

It's the bracing against the body that is being made illegal.

It's quite possible to use a Belly/Long putter in a way that will not be illegal (Sam Torrance reckons his action is fine) or a 'normal' length putter in a method that will become illegal (though who would).

Well,,it started well
1st, hole was a temp,so didn`t putt out,
2nd, holed a 20ft putt
3rd,holed another 20ft putt,
started thinking the new stick must be magic or something,
and then unfortunately back to normal,,will give it another couple of outings before it has the chop..

I've still not chopped my long Sally .
I hold it like Sam Torrance does out in front of me with a claw grip with right hand the result have been superb but it is slow greens .
Also worried if I chop it and it doesn't work out then its back to looking at diff putters again
