Nike VRS Range

Hickoryshaft, WW and myself were lashing the driver after the fitting in Wentworth in December.
Went well too, certainly better than the Cobra offering.

I dont want to sound negative or like a Nike 'hater'
But it is one of the few golf brands that i never get excited about
I have owned nike clubs in the past
2 of which were very good
The original SQ fairway wood
and
A wedge that was 1 of their 1st runs of wedges, a Raw/rusty version, which I believe Tiger used

Theres a few guys I know that play Nike, and are happy, but they just dont grab me
Each to their own......as they say

Nike don't do an awful lot for me neither but the driver stood out amongst the Callaway, cobra etc clubs that we got to hit, sounded better, went better and reminded me of an oversize Callaway driver of old. If you aren't a TM or Titleist man they are certainly worth a look.

Nike gear woods improved last year IMHO. Once they moved away from the mass market SQ square thingy and started to get a bit more serious, the woods got better. The VR woods are excellent (well, I would say that ;) ) with a great looking head and a performance shaft, PX 6.0. The hybrids are also better, but with a small head are better for those that like an iron-looking hybrid.

Never been a fan of Nike Golf gear equipment or apparel. Tried some of their irons and woods in the past on demo days whilst they felt pretty decent quality they just didn't do it for me. This range looks pretty uninspiring as well.

I am a nike hater and these will not be changing my mind.... yukky

Is that a Fubuki shaft in the Nike Brendy?

If so, was it the actual Fubuki or a "designed for" version?

Gareth, apologies first off for jumping in as I'm not Brendy!

I asked a question about the Nike Fubuki int eh Ask the Experts section a while back to which Ethan kindly shared his wealth of knowledge!

According to him both the Mizuno and Nike are "made for" but the Mizuno is much closer to the real thing than the Nike. That said thecraw was complimentary about the Nike version in one of their drivers (Machspeed I think).

I believe it was a made for shaft, still went very well.
Those that are writing off miles clubs this year obviously haven't hit them, the driver was certainly nicer than the likes of the g15 etc in terms of noise, feel and distance.
