XFactor .. YESSS

Dont you worry mate, there will be some more absolute drivel on to replace it.

Will be some so-called celebrity reality show where people who we have never heard of will come on and make idiots of themselves in the hope of the gullable public voting for them.

Converted my garage into a boy's room - have my own TV and Sky in there....

She watches whatever she wants :D

These 'talent' programmes have surely had their day by now!

I've been saying that for a while. I watched it, or at least was in the room. It's been going for 9 years !!! surely a some stage they are going to run out of people who can sing . Maybe that's not a requirement though:D

I honestly don't get all this reality/talent show bashing. Is it really that much of an event in anyone's life that they will now have 52 channels to choose from again instead of 51 at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night?

I sometimes get the feeling that people think it's cool to rubbish these things.
The Betfair forum is the worst I've seen for it. Dozens upon dozens of know-it-alls talking through their pockets or thinking it's cool to say that certain contestants are rubbish and have no voice. The same contestants that 4 people in the music industry have been raving about.
"Yeah, but they would say that wouldn't they as they want the show to be a success".
Call me naive but I don't think so. I might not like the judges but I'll admit they know a lot more than I do about music.

As for winners disappearing into obscurity... who cares? It's only supposed to be entertainment for heaven's sake.
Since part of the winner's prize is £1m I would be quite happy to be never heard of again ;)

And for those of you thinking I'm a saddo you'd be right.
I also like some other reality/talent shows, some soaps, and think Ant & Dec are funny.
There's also plenty that I don't like but I don't feel the need to moan about them either.

I cannot stand the show format, some of the entrants seem like genuinely nice people but they all got canned early on and left the wannabes and lovies. This show has been a money spinner for Syco (Mr Cowells production co.) and with the constant allegations of fixing, just shouldnt be on the television. Surely in this day and age more sport and properly entertaining shows arent that hard to schedule?
Prime time television is turning into OK magazine and self promotion rubbish.

12 of the finalists were 'Invited to take part in the show'. This shows that it is a fix from the start, these, so called, contestants are known well before the audition stage and are going through regardless which makes a complete mockery of the audition stages. I cottoned on a long time ago to the fact that the only winners from these shows are Simon Cowell and his cohorts. He is a genius though as folk still fall for the format time after time. I cannot stand to hear Louis Walsh constantly touting the 'We need your votes' card. I genuinely believe people forget that voting costs money which goes directly to Simon Cowell.

Excellent post, well said :)

I like it but wish Jahmene had won - what a sweetie. Just read that in the final between him and James the votes were 38.9% to 53.7%. So who the hell did the other 7ish% vote for??

I don't like the X Factor or any of these events (The Voice etc) as it has precious little to do with the best singers being in the final. There were several (particulalrly the females) who I thought had better voices than the winner. Once the public gets involved it becomes a lottery between personality over talent.
