I know that it's bordering on blasphemy but i've just received a quote from GB on my JPX 919 Forged irons and am looking to go back to a cast , distance focused, GI style iron set. The mizzies look beautiful in my bag but in all reality i'm just not good enough for them . They're my first ever forged set too. Looking to ideally match my current set of 4-GW (8 irons) but open to suggestion. Any ideas out there ?

And now that's off my chest, you won't go far wrong with any of the Ping G range imo, not sure if there's a difference between the recent and old models but I had the G15s starting out and you won't get a better cast iron that you can hit all over the massive face and it still goes somewhere. Golf should be played for fun, if you get more fun out of it then don't worry about the blasphemy. Game on.

Thanks mate, golf should be for fun but i haven't enjoyed it for a while now. I think the G rang Pings might be the way to g.o

Look at the ping i200's should be some deals out there.
or stick with Mizuno and look at the hot metal irons.

I have a set of Ping G25’s (white dot, 1 inch longer, stiff shafts, mid size grips) 4-SW, including gap wedge (9 clubs). Used condition, but plenty of life left in them.

£220 plus postage.

Thanks Sir, but i'm going down the Wilson D7 route now. You shouldn't have any trouble moving them on though.

These look lovely, what was the problem with them Drew?
If you can’t hit them off your handicap was does a hacker like me of 23 have......
I’m 6.1ft, are a Mizuno’s slightly smaller in club length?

I think The newer JPX have a slightly longer shaft than the MP Brian, i'd imagine these are pretty forgiving, i'm a sim hight to you and they SLSL was fine for me when i tried them..;)

Whats wrong with them, why don't you get on with them?

I found the JPX pretty forgiving.
