Wrong driver shaft.

When I got fitted for my new irons last night I also had a look if I had the correct shaft in my driver. After a few hits it turns out that I have got the wrong shaft fitted. Apparently I should be looking at a lower launch shaft in an X flex. I have got my driver tuned down to 7.5* to keep the ball down due to my swing speed that was measured at 114MPH.

So not only have I got a new set of irons with new wedges, it turns out I am going to have to go get a fancy shaft for my driver.

Anyone on here with a high swing speed fancy giving me an idea to what they are hitting.

Not a high SS myself, but have played with/seen a few who are.

Graffaloy Blue (NOT ProLaunch) is a pretty 'simple' shaft that is strong to flex and low flight/spin. Quiros uses X-flex. S could well be appropriate, though tipping could stiffen it up a bit. NV Protopype (Yellow-ish) could also work - low launch/spin - again strong to labelled flex and can be had in 60gm. For more 'feel' Diamana Whiteboard and derivatives (Ahina/D+ White) at X or Accra (M5=X flex) Tour Z (a few flavours) - traditionally nice feeling shafts - and range of weights.

Whiteboard/Ahina/D+ is probably easiest to get hold of, though there's a Tour Z on Ebay at a pretty reasonable price.

but not for irons and wegdes?

Not for me, I cant hit irons consistently enough, I am closer with the driver and putter to some consistency (bad or good lol).

Everyone is different, some will, some won't. Stick in pretty much any old stiff iron shaft and my scores will remain the same.
