Absolutley!
Although to be honest it's more about real warmth and complete waterproofing. Since acquiring Prologic5 I don't use anything else when it's cool.

Of all the dress code debates I don't think I've sever seen an explanation on the exact reason why certain items don't meet the dress code. Really what is the problem with a pocket or two on the outside leg of a pair of trousers?
The worst example I remember was someone being asked (a lady member I think) to change her trousers as the ones she was wearing had rivets on the pockets of them. Even more bizarre they were from a "recognised golf clothing company" (Ping?) and were purchased at the course Pro shop
They don't meet the dress code because the code says no cargo pants. It's easy.
We are allowed to wear Jean cut trousers, but not jeans. They are easy to tell apart. Apparently.
I get that, but what is the reason why (or why not)?
It doesn't matter, it's the rules. If I want to change the rules, I would need to be on the committee, and propose a motion. I can't be bothered, it's too much hassle, and I just want to play golf.
or even worse..... real tree!!
