Would your club allow these...........

I don't know, can't see the harm in it. I personally have a set of thermal leggings (Under Armour) that do the trick perfectly.

They don't meet the dress code because the code says no cargo pants. It's easy.

We are allowed to wear Jean cut trousers, but not jeans. They are easy to tell apart. Apparently.
 
Like a few others, I'd wager if you asked it would likely be a no, but would expect could play for months in them without a word.

On the budget alternatives, the Slazenger ones are pretty good.
 
Our club allows most things as long it's tidy (no jeans though) I myself have a couple of pairs of 'Gelert' windproof trousers which I wear at this time of year in a rather fetching shade of black just like the rest of my goofing gear, bit of a 'Johny Cash' fan on the QT.

They're that discrete they even allow em in the club house. :thup:

It doesn't matter, it's the rules. If I want to change the rules, I would need to be on the committee, and propose a motion. I can't be bothered, it's too much hassle, and I just want to play golf.
 
I often play golf in cargo trousers. I go up the club straight from work and rather than change I just change my shirt for a polo shirt. If anyone stopped me I would tell them to do one.can a couple of pockets really worry someone else on the course.
 
I can't remember which club it is now but when I was looking for a course to play with an american golf voucher I actually saw on one course clothing etiquette that any clothing worn on the course must be a recognised golf brand :S Some of my pants dont have any branding on so not sure how they go about checking them? will they ask to see the labels
 
Whenever I get pulled up as I do like to push the rules from time to time with shorts 1 inch above the knee or black socks and shorts (I Can't help that the rebellious life chose me), the member always says "I'm not bothered but I'm just letting you know" so either nobody is actually bothered, or they are all too embarrassed to admit they care.
 
I bought a pair of Nike tracksuit running bottoms last year and they almost look like waterproof golf trousers. They genuinely look the business and keep me warm during the winter months as they are lined. Think I picked them up for about £28 from Sports Direct! Bargain!

So jeans are allowed unless they are blue? Its all a lot of nonsense tbh, how can we have archaic dress codes and then allow an entire loudmouth wearing banter brigade?

The worst is knee length socks with shorts or even requiring white tennis length. Inevitably ends up with people wanting to wear shorts and only owning black shoes which in turn looks awful.
 
My club has no problems with lined trousers and I've a pair. It's those pockets that would cause problems. On the course itself I don't think there would be too many comments but I do think it would test our dress code in the club house. Personally I wouldn't have an issue but there would be some that would definitely moan
