Have just purchased a couple of pairs of fleece lined trousers, basically for fishing during the colder months.
Have tried them on, and they fit perfectly. Look like a pair of chino's but obviously much, much warmer.
They have two cargo pockets, one on each leg as can be seen in the pictures on the website....

Would you be allowed to wear these to play golf in at your club????

You can get golf fleece lined trousers I have a lovely ping pair

Thanks for the answer Paul, but as I had already purchased these I was trying to avoid splashing out twice.
The Ping ones are £59.99 a pair!
I very rarely play during the winter months anyway, but wondered if these would be okay?

I bought these in the lakes last year...

Great with waterproofs over the top.. so no one on the committee can see them..

If only they made some without the cargo pockets

Some clubs will allow them and some won't because they are classed as cargo trousers which some clubs don't allow due to the perceived nature of them being "manual work trousers" as such

This year we allowed golf cargo shorts to be worn if they are made by a golf manufacturer - no idea how it's policed

The thread will no doubt throw in the normal fors and againsts

For me if a golf club has a dress code then I'll follow it - i prefer wearing golf clothing anyway.

Dearie me, how pathetic. I take it dungarees are out too

At my current course, I'd say yes, you could

I have several pairs of walking trousers, craghoppers.
A few of these are the winter lined type
Perfect for golf in winter
I wear them at my current club, no problem, but I do know plenty clubs won't allow "cargo" style trousers
For the life of me, ( as long as they're not a loud camouflage ) then I can't think of a decent reason why not
After all, they allow those ridiculous loudmouth type trousers

1 side pocket on these that I wear

Yes definitely, our club has a pretty relaxed attitude to golf style clothing.

No one would bat an eyelid at my place, and quite rightly too imo. We're very relaxed, I popped up for a few holes wearing jeans last week, and trainers are now allowed in the clubhouse

As you've bought them I'd wear them and if anything is said just put your waterproofs over them, no problem wearing them at our place, big difference in cargo pants for work.

Fleeced lined trousers are perfect for winter golf, I picked up a pair of Palm Grove's for £10 2 years ago and they are still as good as new!

Ask the club if they would prefer if you spent £60 in the bar or ordering trousers online from a golf site unrelated to the club.

A few pockets should be no barrier.

There has to be a line but it should be about wearing the right clothes for the sport.

You wouldn't turn out to play rugby for a club in jeans would you?
