I see Sky have announced the price for the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight, most expensive pay per view event in UK, upto £24.95, depending on how you book.

I already pay subscription to watch Skysports and don't believe in paying extra for single events.

I reckon I would probably have stumped up 4 or 5 years ago for this fight but not now.


I agree with LP in not paying for standalone events if you already have the sports subscription.

The fight is a few years too late but will still get everyone watching, but I will definately be spending the £25 in the pub whilst watching it for nowt:thup:

I'm absolutely with you on that Phil, it cost a bundle to have Sky Sports and I'll cancel Sky before I pay for anything extra
 
No way!

I pay them a blimmin fortune already and would not pay one more brass farthing. For my £93 a month I should get absolutely everything they broadcast.
 
I'll be buying it. The fight is happening at least 5 years after it should have. However, it is still THE biggest fight out there and one I am genuinely excited and intrigued to see. I wouldn't want to risk a dodgy stream/buffering. The fight will be happening at 4-5am so it's unlikely that I'll be able to watch from a pub round my way. Although the casino may be an option. Most likely I'll order it at home and have the lads round for beer, curry and the fight.

From what I understand if you order it via the red button then it costs £19.95 regardless of when you book it.
 
i wouldnt pay for boxing but would consdider other events. Altough there may be other ways to watch....

Same here. I can't understand the attraction, particularly in boxing where it could be over in seconds and when you have to stay up to silly o'clock to watch it.
 
I will, and gladly too!

Their basic package I pay monthly for covers their costs and profits for events that budget for. If they arrange special events I'll happily pay. I would pay the. If they wanted to charge for the big Orem games. But been as they had to bid to get this event I will.

Better or being in sky than something like box nation.
 
Even as massive boxing fan I don't think I'll get this. Not a massive Mayweather fan and find most of his fights boring. It's being billed as the biggest fight in history. Richest yes, biggest no.

Saying that I was stupid enough to shell out for Bellew v Cleverly 2 :confused:
 
Plenty will I'm sure but this one hasn't caught my imagination and anyway out here I'd be looking at stream options although I don't imagine they'll perform very well

I'd take a guess the touch gloves will be about 6am Uk time so more an early morning event than late night
