Worst head covers

I dont think I'll bother turning pro then homer!

Pom Pom head covers remind me of the bobble hat Kevin wears in home alone

True homer about the eighties making a come back. Everywhere you look you see eighties inspired stuff be it music, fashion and even cars, how many white cars have you seen in adverts recently. Back to the pom poms i think they're pretty cool. Quite fancy some myself. How are the wooly headcovers in the rain?

The 80's were great, none of this PC sh'ite, no, no win no fee claims, you could call the gollywog on the marmalade jar a gollywog.
Kids could climb trees, play conkers and generally be Kids!!!!.
The world has gone mad.
The music was pretty cool too.

BTW i appologise in advance if I have upset anyone with my rant but you know i'm right.

I really HATE novelty headcovers with a passion.

Why anybody would want superman anally-impaled in their golf-bag is beyond me.

The closest I have ever been is my Spurs headcover which has been consigned to the drawer in protest against comolli and levy who are quite frankly scum.

Ok guys I just stumbled across this, and although I actually quite like the guy, I would crease up with laughter and not be able to play if any of my mates had one of these

Own up guys who has one? Anybody else got any corkers???

I want one!!!!!

On a slightly more serious note the latest trend for "shortie" headcovers - eg Ping G10 are a complete waste of time. Sure they cover the head (as they're supposed to I guess!) but what about the shaft?

Bag wear on the shaft not only looks bad and will de-value your club but surely it will have an effect on the shaft performance over time. Any wear has to weaken the shaft at that specific point and if you happen to put the club in the same position in your bag every time that wear is going to increase.

Bought a Callaway X 3 wood recently and that came with a "sock" type cover. Covers the head, covers the shaft. Thats what I want from a headcover.

having just taken up golf and the family will want to buy a golfing accessory for Christmas then one of these is a prime candidate for a present. No golfing knowledge needed to buy one.

Although a new pair of shoes would be nice... hint hint..

Ohhh this might sting a few fellow Fogies then!
Say hello to my mate Brian

Hes from the same range as the poulthard cover, Im not one for covers but this in along with all of my other standard mizuno and odessey covers looks grand. BTW I never got the mizuno driver cover with my mp600 so needed to get one, Brian was perfect.
As for shaft wear, I have a little clear plastic where the bag makes contact with the shaft..Oo-er missus.

I would take a punt and say anyone with something like the poulter headcover is a mad fan or the sufferer of a meaningful yet non golfing friends christmas present.

I use a pom pom cover as my 5 wood didnt come with a headcover, it looks good. I once experienced my playing partner turn up with a tiger head cover and a new tiger woods cap, once I stopped laughing I havent seen them again.
