Hey everyone, I’m designing a product to make cleaning your golf clubs faster and easier.

It’s a compact ultrasonic cleaner that uses sound waves to clean your clubs in minutes. It fits up to 4 clubs at once, no scrubbing or mess. Just add water, slot in your clubs and let it do the work. I'm trying to understand if this is something golfers would actually want before going into full production. It's more suited to a European market where clubs get really muddy!

The survey takes less than 2 minutes and your feedback would be massively appreciated:

Thanks in advance, happy to answer any questions or hear thoughts in the comments!

Looking at the prices in some of the questions, I would be thinking you are looking to be selling it for around £50-80. Bearing in mind that a bit of soap and water is less than a penny, then you are not going to be shifting many. Save your money and stop with this - I'm out.

Also, if you need to clean your clubs after a round, you are not cleaning them properly during the round

Is it a new product?

Ultrasonic cleaners have been around for years.

Seen smaller ones in LIDL for a lot less than your suggested pricing.

We have a couple of companies that visit the club with a version and will do the clubs for you for a small fee.

im not sure this would have a domestic use, possibly something a high end golf club might consider but as above, a brush with soap and water is pennies, and people who look after their clubs clan them on course too

Nail brush and washing up liquid a few times a year on the grips and heads, clean the grooves. Wet towel after each shot on the course, little pocket brush multi tool thing if the grooves need it. Wouldn’t consider buying anything to replace those.

Wasn't this kind of gizmo popping up at golf clubs 20 years ago for demo days/player use etc? Even coin operated version, took a full set of clubs (irons, wedges) and battered them with tiny bubbles for X minutes inc shafts and grips
IIRC it worked well enough in a practical sense but clearly not on a commercial basis

Anything mechanical like that just worries me it’d remove paint or damage heads. I probably only clean mine a few times a year so would never be spending that sort of money when a brush towel and water does a fine job.

I think you’d struggle to punt any at those types of prices if I’m honest.
Only thing I could think of is maybe clubs or driving ranges that hire out clubs and need to clean in bulk/quickly like that.

I keep my clubs clean during the round & give them a good clean 3/4 times a year with washing up liquid & water.

I would be concerned about it removing decals, paintwork, lead tape etc, I honestly don't see a market for this product, its a bit like an expensive version of a tacky gadget a non golfing friend might foist upon you at christmas.

Filled out for you

It’s a niche product , not many people clean their clubs regularly but wherever they have the club cleaning guy at their club it’s used

It’s not a bad gadget but I can’t see the demand being that high

A bit like the high pressure air hose, players grateful to see/use one at the club but not many will pay to have their own one at home

Um, those prices are nuts. 😂

You can get one of those little bottle things with the brush on them for under a tenner and clean the clubs are you go. Maybe some high end courses that clean clubs for visitors might be interested but I can't see a retail customer being interested at those prices. I'm also betting they would appear on AliExpress shortly after for a fifth of the price.

In store I bought 6 for £2.

One tied to the bag where the towel also dangles.
Another next to the kitchen sink for scrubbing vegetables.

Replace either as and when needed.

Do these also work on screws?😉 If Tesco suss you're using them to clean clubs, they'll relabel the product and increase the price!

My pro also uses to say, "if you have to clean the clubs when you get home, you're not doing it properly on the course!"

And no, I wouldn't buy that at any price.

Could have a whole website on daft prices on golf stuff...

Alignment stick covers anyone?
I swear by my alignment stick cover.
Using the Tommy Fleetwood drill and trying to swing under one is more difficult with a wood or hybrid headcover and painful without anything if you get it wrong!
