Got to agree that pace is a huge issue for live televised golf, and they both need to start issuing meaningful penalties (if they can do it for a disputed ball movement on a slick green they can do it for the slow-pokes)
Course length not sure though, isn't that just due to the physical difference in distance off the tee and allows the course and its hazards to be played as the designer/comp organisers set it up. You could move the ladies back but would likely mean that lots of hazards no longer in play (& often they'd walk past the other tees to get to the ladies ones so 'travel distance' is not really that different)
Saw Day yesterday, he didn't even start talking to his caddy about the shot till it was his turn to play his 2nd shot (when the camera would be on him) so I think both tours have their problems and couldn't say one was worse because of a caddy lining up, esp as he's doing it concurrently to the players PSR
In general the dreaded PSR's are far more deliberate and take longer in the women's game.
The fact is that the women's game has to work harder to sell itself as a spectator/TV sport and aping the slow play of the worst of their male counterparts is not going to achieve that.
