been using the pro v 1's now from the start of july and to be honest dont know why i did not switch a long time ago..

however with the winter coming in what ball should i switch to? i dont want to keep using them as with the softer ground and greens i dont feel the need to keep using them.. plus at my home club sometimes you lose the odd ball in the winter with the soft ground..

i had a mess about with a ad333 there yerterday but to be honest not really liking them any longer.. was thinking about the likes of a 3 piece ball like the dx3.

what do you use? maybe i be better picking up some lake pro v1x's balls..

Hendy, I just picked up a pack of the 24 'practice' prov1's from direct golf for about 9 pound. They will do me for winter.

Personally I like the AD333's, they have been my winter ball for the last 3 years, however, I priced them up at 15 pound in AG and didn't want to pay it, considering they used to be a tenner.

Srixon Soft Feel is the ball I use all winter, I think its a smashing ball for the money. Great value and a lot softer than the AD333.

Bridgestone B330 RX arent a bad ball going by my recent experiences.

I love the B330s but just dont seem to like the RX at all - dont find they go as far - I find them a bit lifeless and dont enjoy putting with them - ha shows you, one mans rubbish is another mans gold. :-)

After reading all the good reports about the RX,i thought i may have got a dodgy ball,as i found them very springy and clicky.when chipping and putting, and only really felt soft when hitting full shots, although they did check up well enough.

I've just got myself a dozen Callaway HX Diablo Tour balls. As good as the NXT Tour and probably cheaper. Decent spin.
Worth checking out.

I just jet off to my winter base in Dubai and carry on using my Pro V1x's.............. ;)

Oh ok, in reality I just use my scuffed ones like Patrick and Mungo! :( :D

that sounds like a plan lol

think i might keep a eye out for some pro v lake balls have a few well used pro v's tho not going be enough for a mucky course...

based on the rain we have had the last few days i say i have a 2 weeks till its back to hats and full wet gear lol

cheers for all the feed back

I find the premium balls spin too much in winter. The greens are so soft that the ball backs up on approach shots and checks too quickly on chips - except when I play it firmer to allow for the check and of course it doesn't check.....

I normally just play the same ball B330-S all year round, I just make sure balls and clubs are kept in the warm the night before I play.

I like the fact they check more on chips as I can be more aggressive.
