Do the ladies still get the same prize money as the men? That final was over very quickly, surely it should be based on the time spend on court, an hourly rate lol.

I was actually rather enjoying the battle Kerber was putting up in the second set against Williams - looking like she might be able to take it to 3 sets - I went out the room for a few minutes and it as over. I actually was disappointed that it was over and could have watched more.

I thought the quarter finals were amazing. The semis and final less so. But that's sport, you don't always get what you want. For the players, it's a seven day a week job. It just is. What you see on telly is just a small part of it. Should they earn less? Maybe you be, may be not. It's tough to call. It's an entertainment business. Was I entertained by Murray playing his semi, no, not really. Should he be paid less? Should it come down to viewer ratings? Probably best left as it is.

Less court time, less attractive to sponsors/pull in less spectators = still get 30 grand for going out in round one, even if they get a wildcard based on being vaguely British.
Makes no sense really, they even charge more for the tickets on men's final day when its only the two matches on centre as opposed to the women's final & both doubles finals on the saturday

That was brilliantly played from Murray - 140mph plus serves and he is returning them ! Superb play and throughly deserved - he is one of the U.K. best ever sportsmen
