Wimbledon Common, so I joined...

Got ya, so with that said I'm assuming membership per anum is about £750 7 days
Yes, £775 a year. For our area that seemed to be less than anything else i found. Looked at a few round Croydon too, but this one was the best deal, especially as I could join for a few months first to see whether i actually like it. I guess theres nothing worse than commiting to 12 months somewhere and finding you dont like it..

Definitely worth looking into if you are down that way. It is rarely shut except in snow and despite its length it is a tricky course. The only downside I found was not being able to play Sundays after 2.30 (and bank holidays from memory) and the public having right of way and having to wait for them.

The atmosphere in the clubhouse was always spot on and loads of competitions to play in. For that money it still represents good value

Yea, and they have a reciprocal agreement with Epsom so you can play there free on bank holidays, so you dont lose out :-)

I'll just have to tee off early on Sunday's or make do with playing 9 holes, which i dont mind if i play 18 on the saturday.

Epsom is another decent track up by the racecourse. Another common land course (watch out for the kids on bikes nicking balls) and a good idea. We never had that recipricol in place in my time. The ony downside about wanting to go out late is that you'll have to wait for all the LS to come through and then follow behind which can make it pretty slow. Better off trying to get a game from the WC side and playing the full 18

how is the membership going at Wimbledon Common?

I'm living in Fulham and very tempted to join for the main reason that its close! Currently a member at a course further down the A3 and am getting tired of the long drives to play.

any info appreciated...
