Hi there, thinking of changing to the Wilson staff fg range of irons and wedges, I'm booked in for a fitting next fri. Anyone use these?? Any opinions?.

Thanks in advance.

Yup,switched to fg tour v2's a few months ago. Love em. Very controllable and lovely flight. Not too forgiving, which is a plus in my book, but still with enough forgiveness to let you off with a bad one. Should suit you well off your handicap,I never found a better iron when I was trying a few out. They feel like butter when you centre One,and my ball striking is immense probably more due to the fitting.

Highly reccomend

I nearly went down that road myself. The blades are stunning to hit, but I wanted to try muscle back short irons after using blades all my life. Glad I did as my short iron play has definitely improved.

I wasn't convinced the blades would fly the same as the v2's as the v2 has a very penetrating mid flight, whilst o found the blades much lower. Stunning all the same. Oh and get a 3 iron you wuss!

Ha ha, very true!!! I'm off for a fitting so will bow down to the Wilson staff god in Irvine!!!!! I'm actually really excited about going back to Wilson staff, taking me back to my youth, every summers day spent at royal auchenharvie municipal 9 hole golf and yacht club :--))))

lol its now The Royal Kinharvie and i still play there every sunday after slumming it at Bogside saturday lol

Fantastic, my school mates and I used to have a Cunningham card, we'd spend all day everyday down there. Old bob used to have us out collecting balls etc.

I'll need to go back down for a real trip down memory lane.

yep i was a junior probably the same time and done the ball lifting for a can and a mars bar lol im a year older than you, its all change no pro no money and nobody cares. still a tight wee course with wee greens. so glad ive joined Bogside it has helped improve my game.

Those were the days, I'm playing out of rowallan just now. Fair difference lol

I was at Rowallan last week, you'd be better off going back to Largs GC. Your place (fairways) is a sodden mess, I'd be looking for a refund if I was a member.

Great greens, beautiful lay out though.
