I went down to the Mizuno fitting centre at Wrexham this afternoon to hit some demo irons.

I absoulutely loved the " 2011 Taylormade MC forged " and the " Callaway Razr X forged " irons with the S300 shafts fitted.

BUT

Dare I say it I also liked the feel,results and really enjoyed hitting the........Mizuno MP53.

Am I now going to become a member of the Mizzy club

Never! They were nice though but the topline was so thin, I couldn't see them when looking down at address!

its a fantastic set up they have at clays in wrexham. im back there in august so i might get fitted for new bats myself

I would also recommend the fitting centre at Wrexham, but then again, I'm a Mizzy fanboy. On my 3rd set now and will get another when my current JPX800 Pros are ruined....

Why does a Mizuno fitting centre give you other brands to try ? Is it too show you how much better their irons are ?

Had a few shandies tonight, so brain even slower than usual.

Nope..I hit all at Wrexham.

It was not a custom fitting as all the fitting times were taken and I only turned up on spec so had a nice chat with the lady at the counter and asked her if I could hit several different makes of iron that I named.

Taylormade MC forged
Mizuno MP53 and MP63
Callaway Razr X forged
Nike VR
Ping S56
Titleist AP2

One thing for sure is I will deffo go back for a full custom fitting as they were so very helpful and obliging

I think if you go for just Mizuno fitting its free but if you get fitted for all makes it is £25 which gets taken off the price if clubs purchased from them.
