Wifi extenders ?

Are they meant to boost the same channel as the Wi-Fi from the router ?

Just downloaded a Wi-Fi analyser and it seems the signal from the extended is different form the router ????
It's a TP link, same as the router.

I seem to remember you need to go into your device's wifi settings search for and select/connect to the TP link.
