Look on the bright side as Brucey says

"points make prizes"

Good game, good game.

I got banned, so i couldn't read my PM's. And now i see that there is some gobbaldy gook about my signature. So please explain to me, why there are rules for some people, and rules for others. Now according to your rules, these links are not aloud. Because they are promoting a product.

I don't mind giving Smiffy full handicap :-)

Don't worry.
If it's a problem (and obviously it is) I'll remove it, once I work out how

Edit....Done.
Better ?

I've been looking for the Rules on links and such-like and I can't find them - there's loads of stuff and it takes some trawling..

So what are the Rules regarding links in Sigs...?

It is covered by the advertising bit. If it deemed to be advertising a product/service then it is a problem. Obviously Bob's was but as he puts so much back into the forum on a regular basis it was ok.

Not a problem any more.
Munro was right. You can't have one rule for one and one rule for another.
Just confuses newbies

Bob there is no need to remove yours. I understand now why you have been aloud to have them. I just don't like how they went about banning me. All they could have said to me in black and white, is that you are not aloud a link.

Instead i get a this:

[h=2]You have received a warning at Golf Monthly Forum[/h]
Dear munro007,

You have received a warning at Golf Monthly Forum.

Reason:
-------
Breach T&Cs

I'm sorry but, having come to our attention, your profile URL has been removed as it was in breach of the forum's Terms of Service/Use, with regard to advertising, promoting, etc.;

However, you may wish to place an advertisement on the GM Classifieds page section or contact the advertising department to place an advert in themagazine.

Please note that any further attempt to advertise or promote anywhere on the forum, or any further breach of the ToS/T&C's/sundry guidelines may result in action being taken against your account.
-------

Warnings serve as a reminder to you of the forum's rules, which you are expected to understand and follow.

All the best,
Golf Monthly Forum

Now remember i am new to this forum, and i am not up to speed about url's. I just don't understand why someone couldn't have said to me, remove your link fella, its not aloud, end of.

So now are you going to remove my points that i have received.

The points won't be removed. You were up to speed enough to post the URL in your signature got a warning saying it was unacceptable had it removed and banned then as soon as you come back on you add the link again. What did you expect to happen?

When you signed up to the forum did it ask you if you agreed with the T&C's of the forum?

If I had been banned for something and didn't know I would have had a quick look at google to find out what it was.

Ok but I don't have a "hidden agenda" with anyone but if that makes you feel better then that's your choice.

Well comments like this won't do you any good Chris.

Are you in some way connected to him. Every post you make seems to involve him.
