Why did you join the forum?

This is the only correct answer.
, especially whilst I'm at work as I'm the only male in my office!

Haha, I'm the same position as you at work so I feel your pain. It's almost got to the point that I'm going to have to start watching One Born Every Minute and Desperate Housewives to be able to take part in the office chats.

I'm the only woman at work and none of the men play golf. Been called a golf bore when saying what my weekend plans were:rolleyes:

Joined over 5 years ago as one of the guys in work was on it, when there was not many members.

Met some cracking lads ,played some top courses and courses i'd never heard of before and long may it continue.

Quite honestly I have picked up the magazine for the past 2 years and curiosity brought me here. A year later a finally started to post.

I joined to feel at home ........... Well, to be told I'm wrong all the time actually, but that's what it feels like at home!

Read about the forum in the mag, thought I'd sign up to talk golf with like minded lunatics to be honest. I appear to have joined at a volatile moment!

Because I enjoy this maddening game, and wanted to chat to other like minded tortured souls in search of the holy grail that is just to be able to play this game + wanted to get involved in forum meets I see in mags.

Can't remember what made me join, as it was a wee while ago. I've met a lot of the Scottish lads at local meets over the years. I've also had the pleasure of playing with some of our English counterparts at places like Castle Stuart, Nairn, Hillside to name a few. Played some great courses at those meets and also played in three Scotland vs England matches at Goswick. On the whole it's a good place to come and 'talk golf'

Long may it continue.

To get away from all the scousers!!! That didn't work then eh?

I joined after giving up one "hobby" and deciding to return to golf. I wanted info on how equipment had changed in the 8 or so years that I'd been away. It turns out that my previous custom fit which gave me the option of regular or stiff may have been a bit under done.

Is that why you kept going in the rough at West lancs? I thought it was my deodorant - "essence of fairway". :)

When you say "hobby" like that, you make it sound suspect!!
