No sorry, I don't know anyone called Hywel
Wouldn't have said that if you'd seen him Saturday. I dragged him right down to my level and did him 2&1
No sorry, I don't know anyone called Hywel
I've read a couple of posts recently with guys saying that they're off 23, but play more like 13 or 14, but because they don't play in comps, they don't get cuts... Well - tell the hcap sec, and he'll adjust it for you, job done. I couldn't hold me head up if I was playing off 10 more than what I could play at...
Remember, the hcap is meant to be what you play on a GREAT day, not what you hit every week. So in fact, a hcap of 23 mean you should really be hitting about the 27-28 mark regularly...
100% with you on this one,,,,,,,I don't wear the "not official competition" excuses sorry.
you know they'll get strokes
Last year I was hugely inconsistent, especially in the comps, therefore my handicap would drop and gradually rise again. Much more consistent this year (so far lol), but despite a 3rd, 2nd, 1st and 4th in the comps this year there have been no cuts.
I for one want to get my handicap down as low as possible, to me that will be the indication of improvement, not how well I do in club comps!
Erm based on todays round I might just have to throw my sombrero in and say me
But seriously though I couldn't feel any more ashamed/ guilty about it.
Since I was given my H/C I have only had chance to play in one comp (and I didnt even play to 19) but my game has come on leaps and bounds from the work and bounce games I have played since.
What do I do? Play in comps to get it down and fear being lynched in the bar afterwards?
Bandit.
Lots of people claiming to be playing well under their handicaps, so who is the biggest bandit and how?
