Who missed out?

I was looking to go but it has been so roundly hammered that I will give it a miss.

I'm going to the Fantastic Beasts film tonight, I want to do the Spiders Web film next up.
Stan and Ollie, Aquaman and Bumblebee all out this month. (y)

Slightly off topic here but a rumour that I found interesting, Sean Connery's character in The Rock was originally going to be James Bond but they could not get the rights to use the name.

Whoever was down to play Jack Reacher when they gave it to that half pint Tom Cruise :ROFLMAO:
i think he bought the film rights to it, so was always going to play it himself.... the little ....
he should have got the rights to lord of the rings, would have made a great Hobbit... no CGI needed:ROFLMAO:
not quite in the catagory but Timothy Dalton (who was one of my fav bonds because of his intensity throughout the role) only missed out on a 3rd film because of legal issues between between UA/MGM and Eon Productions. by time bond was brought back (4 years later) him and his career had moved on.. would have loved to of seen another bond movie with him in.. however Goldeneye was just excellent
Didn’t he only get the role because Pierce Brosnan couldn’t get out of his contract playing Remington Steele?

Thank god he has been dumped, however Lee Childs as much as he is a very good writer, he is an even better sales person. Read a piece, where when he choose his " writers name" he choose Child's. As a letter later in the alphabet and people would get bored of looking once they got to P,Q,R,S,T etc.
That aside he has also signed a deal with Netflix, so who is the next Reacher, Warwick Davis.

We had that Rickman story on the podcast as well. We had the guy who played Argyle the limo driver telling stories about filming. He of course was the only person in 1988 who could use a car cell phone in an underground car park and get a perfect signal.

And don't even start me on people who don't think Die Hard is a Christmas film. "It's Christmas Theo, it's a time for miracles"

I watched The Roast of Brice Willis recently. At the end when he gets to have a little dig back. His final word and reason for going on the show and being hammered for an hour was to confirm Die Hard ISN’T a Christmas movie.

Totally correct. I loved the two Dalton films - a much darker edgier Bond in Licence to Kill. And Maryam D'Abo in The Living Daylights was seriously hot.
