This isn't an Advert - just a request for opinions.

How often do you take 2 or more golf clubs from your bag - maybe to the green...or maybe from a buggy to the fairway..........and how often does one get left behind?

A new product is about to be launched - ClubAlert - that will ensure that clubs are never left behind again!!

ClubAlert are interested in the opinions of Golfers to finalise the packaging of this product....

Please visit the website at www.clubalert.co.uk and go to the Survey page...

All those participating will be kept informed of the availability and also offered initial versions of the product at a reduced cost !!

Thanks

Expensive?

Been done with little flags in the bag that pop up if a club is removed from the bag or something. Cheaper.

Clubs cost a lot of money, I love mine, and I would never leave one behind. Hurh. (US Ranger type grunt).

Similar products exist in the leisure marine market in case one of the family or crew fall overboard. Crewmember wears a 'send' unit and the boat has a receiver on board. It would save lives, but very few people buy them.

This product, probably less so.

And for that reason - I'm out

Never. I have paid good money for my golf clubs and I do not leave them lying around even if I take 2 or more from my bag to play a shot. Even if I leave one lying around by mistake (which I admit could happen) I will rely on the general integrity and honesty of other golfers to hand in the club to the pro shop or to catch up with me after the round to say "here's the club you left at the 7th green you daft wazzock"). So, I am afraid that your product is not going to be of any use to me.

Only two other things to say: (1) I still can't take any post that talks about vibrators and golf in the same sentence seriously and (2) Unleash H_Jay_S.

;)

Thank you All....

Offensive, ill considered or just plain rude..... :D

Oh, that'll be you coming on here and boring us/annoying us (delete as appropriate) with another "too good to ignore" offer.
I haven't clicked on the link.....sounds a daft idea, I'm out.

Look. You claim it's not an advert, but the heading is "Have you seen ClubAlert". It's blatantly an advert. You asked for our opinions and you got them. If you don't like our opinions then don't ask for them.

You may consider our opinions as ill considered, but I find your reply, ill advised, as you are trying to market a product on this forum and have now just slagged them off. You think anyone here will consider buying or suggesting one to anybody. No.

Your market research and potential customer handling is inept. I wouldn't employ you, let alone buy anything from you.

Blown opportunity.

If you need any help in these areas, my rates are £300 per day. :p

Blown opportunity.

Well said.

I have my website listed in the bottom of my profile on a site where I've posted nearly as much as here (over 7 years). Interestingly, I get a (between) 2-4% hit from the forum users and maybe one PM expressing interest every now and again. I've not shoved it down folks throats...it's there if anyone wants to take a look....

Follow the example of SS2......he's the ONLY forum member (who has a business interest) in memory who knows how to play the game. Better to upset nobody, take part and get the odd sale, than p*** everyone off and get sweet "..... ..."

I have actually just looked at whatever their website is and found that 'ClubAlert is currently undergoing prototype field trials and is not yet available for general sale'.....so does that mean 'we know it's [****] and if we went on Dragon's Den, Peter Jones would just laugh at us??'.....

I've got a reputation of being a man with the gift of words. A romantic dynamic type or say they say. But I'm finding it hard to express the way I feel about this without getting involved in the old cliches.

It is clear you are struggling with certain concepts and deifinitions used in the English lnguage so I'll endeavour to help you so that when you decree to take your leave (I suggest Today's Golfer where the collective brain power of the readership may be akin to yours)

Lying as in this is not an advert - described by thr Oxford dictionary as: 1 deliberately false statement 2 a situation involving deception. That fairly sums up your opening paragraph

Freeloader as in someone not prepared to pay to advertise a service - described as: person who takes advantage ofother peoples generosity without giving anything in return

I think that pretty much covers your whole business concept in coming on here

In summary you are a lying freeloader with the social compunction of a chave. I have more faith in Sam Torrance selling me the virtues of a Salzenger K1 driver than your ill thought out plan. Your product is ill conceived and ludicrously expensive and would fail the audition for Dragons Den let alone make it in the dragons lair.

Most of the forummers on here are sensible folk and when they do take extra clubs onto greens have the nous to pick them up. Alternitvely we also have a thing in golf called companionship and in most cases a playing partner will either pick them up as players hole out or remind the player in question before moving on. This applies to those playing behind who will often pick up any forgotten articles and return them to the rightful owners between holes or after a round.

Having giving you the education you obviously skipped take your GCSE in IT (at least you built a website) and go get a decent product and a life

1) Gosh. A little bold aren't we?
2) How about packageing carefully in a large black rubbish sack and leaving for collection by your local council

Sounds like you have an active, but lonely, sex life

If you have a responsible mind especially with something you value its good to have a system that works, should you be someone who takes a couple out at a time. I do this, I dont like lugging bag unnecessarily nor walking back and forth in time consuming ineficiency.

I always place the club Im not using between me and the route I take next or route off greens that I have to pass and I always check they are all in the bag at regular intervals, usually after every green.

Ive only left one club in 30 yrs and that was for about 30 secs due to distraction, I never let that happen again....I hope.lol. Maybe with old age and my mind on a colostomy maybe lol.
