who has the best swing in golf?

Me!

Failing that I always like watching the Goose swing it but the best swing I've seen is Geoff Ogilvy when he is timing it well. Perfect.

Rory looks impressive also though.

I seem to get a lot of enjoyment out of watching the slightly stranger swings out there and have watched Jeev Milka Singh for 50 mins on a practise ground and followed Paul Broadhurst for a round and really enjoyed watching them swing it.

if you're talking about who's got the best looking swing, got to be young irish rory at the moment. If you're talking about the best swing to get the job done, i'd say mickelson at the moment.

If we are talking about the best swingers, surely Tiger has to be in there :o

On a more serious note, agree Rory McIlroy is poetry in motion. Also Big Ernie still swings it like silk.

Personal favourite though has to be Freddie Couples. All that power and grace with a dodgy back and playing in deck shoes.

I have to agree I like to watch McIlroy's swing. The only thing is I think he always looks like he's trying to smash the ball as hard as he can. Compared to Ernie Els he's throwing the kitchen sink at it. Els has a great easy swing.

Watched the European tour last week and I have to say the best swing I saw was young Matteo Manassero. His swing is immaculate and so tidy it's unreal, it stands out a mile compared to some others out there.
So young Manaserro gets my vote.

Define "best swing".

+1. I used to think Ernie Els had the most watchable swing, but it's Boom-Boom Freddie's I could watch all day. I do still love Ernie's effortless swing too though.

Funnily enough, I don't really like Tiger's swing...looks like he's always trying too hard.

Like Mickelson's too, but then I've always thought left-handed sportsmen seem to look more natural for some reason.

Define "best swing" That's teh crux of it, I feel

Like Mickelson's too, but then I've always thought left-handed sportsmen seem to look more natural for some reason. Couldn't disagree more with Tim. I know it's a beautifully balanced swing, but I always expect him to fall over, blimmin cackhander.

All the youngish players put a lot of power into there swing it seems to me. So there are few gracious swings out there. I still like Casey's swing, though.

And if you want a homemade swing that was built to be repetitive under stress, then Trevino's was as good as most.

And in my opinion, the best swings don't overstrain the body.

As proof look at a swing that's lasted over 40 years, The great Tom Watson's

But the best, as in the most repetitive, simple, swing that lastest well after his putting gave up the ghost, was, and probably always will be the always brilliant Sir Nick Faldo's.

I know other guys can do this, but I just love this :

Faldo showing off

If I could wake up one morning with someone else's swing for the rest of my life, there would still be no hesitation whose I would pick...

...got to be the Big Easy.

I don't care about the results (although, let's be fair, he's done alright with it) it is a thing of beauty and way more aesthetically pleasing than anything else out there. He even looks good when he's playing badly.

And I've got plenty of experience of playing badly so looking good at the same time would be nice for a change ;)

I have to say Sergios to watch in slow motion is a thing of beauty, especially his irons.
Look at this pic of the lag the guy can create with a full swing (driver this time).

Some of the more unassuming swings are pretty lethal too, Davis Love III's swing was toned back to 70% of his original swing to make it more reliable, he still hits it 290 day in day out and when he decides to give it the message it would put him well ahead of tiger, Daly, Rory etc. Hard to believe, though not sure how well he would connect now being in his mid 40's though.
