I'm booked in next Friday for a corporate day Bacon sarnies, freebies, range tokens (being observed by one of the teaching pro's apparently) and then onto the course. God I love my job!

Then off onto the PGA. I've played the Brabazon but not the other two. I seem to remember (in fact I am just looking at your good looking mug shots in this months GM) Tony & Vig playing there not so long back.

So how did you get on there those that have played the PGA?

I really rate the PGA. There are a few pylons about, which is the only thing that really detracts slightly. I've heard that these will be taken away & the cables sent underground, as they are planning to use this PGA course in the future for European tour events as well as the Brabazon. Apparently they are taking even more trees away from the PGA to make it look even more like a Links course than it already does in places.

The PGA is a fantastic course and IMHO it is a harder (but not prettier) course than the Brabazon.

Watch out for the 4th....outstanding hole!!

The greens aren't quite as quick as the Brabazon's but they're still pretty nippy. Enjoy it, i'm 110% sure you will.

Really rated the PGA. It was quite wet when we went but the condition of the course for the time of year couldn't be faulted. I suspect that the greens will be quicker now then when we went so have a good practice before you tee off.

Loved it, hardest course I played to date and at the time I shot my best score of 82 on it ( I think it was 82, Vig?)

The condition wasn't quite what I expected but it was still pretty good considering the weather prior to it.

Make sure you get a feel for the greens before you go out because boy they were quick when we played. Enjoy the stroll up the last if you nail ya tee shot, I did and it was a great feeling walking back towards that great clubhouse.

Good luck, hope you nail the course. Take pics!!!

I'm playing there this Thurs pm with a mate who is a member on the Derby and gets a free fourball once a year on the PGA.

Have played it with him once before on a very very cold day so hoping it's a bit better this week.
