I am playing in the forum meet tomorrow in North Kent kindly organised by Auburn Warrior and my question is:

I only have a battery for 18 holes so will need to rent a trolley at the venue. They only have pull ones. Given that I an old and knackered, do I .... use the electric trolley for the first 18 holes then pull the second 18 or vice versa?

Given that, either way, I am likely to collapse in a heap in the mid afternoon ... what would you do? (dont suggest a buggy I hate them)

Chris

Depending on the break between rounds, you could put it on charge for an hour or so and that might get you round both times.

18 hole batteries will normally last quite a bit longer than just 18 so a charge for an hour or two over lunch might well get you round.

Its a Hill Billy and impossible to pull or push, and dinner might not be long enough to put a charge in! Cheers for ideas lads

Chris, If your's is a HillBilly Terrain, I'll carry in the morning, and you can use my battery. Then I'll have it back and go electric in the PM. I've got a 36 hole battery, so it will be ok.

You see, he is a nice man.
Just goes to show...you shouldn't listen to rumours :D

Thats a fabulous gesture Murph. I have a different solution. I have the old battery that was running out about 16th hole so I bought a new one. If I charge it and use my new one to do at least 27 holes then I could change to the old one.

I thought the pro shop had GoKarts for hire, too! :D
Was counting on it.
Anyone got a spare GoKart battery?

Looks like I'll be pushing over the last few holes.

  ;)

As we are playing together, how about we hot wire the trolleys together and go as a convoy?

The Hillbilly battery fitting is the same as Powakaddy I believe so if you can get one of those it might work.

I have a HB Terrain with an 18 hole battery and have played 36 with it more than once.

Just freewheel downhill and push occasionally on some easy bits. Basically 'nurse' it round. This is what I've done and never had the battery die before the end of 2 rounds.
The most I've ever played using it all the time was 27.

Your GoKart will do 36 on an 18 hole battery. Can almost guarantee it.
Just power up when you really need it, flat fairways or downhill just push the old girl. It's not heavy.
You'll be ok LIG
I'm playing 36 at Woodhall next week-end and won't be taking my charger. Haven't even given it a second thought.

I'd think again about taking your charger to Woodhall.

You might well get 36 out on the course, it's the other bits at Woodhall that will drain your battery. It's a bit of a walk to and from the Bracken and the Driving Range at Woodhall is miles from the Hotchkin.
