Which way do you find yourself going?

but your mp57's are in no way comparable to a blade. They are a perimeter weighted cavity back, a wise choice if aesthetics are important, but you will get a degree of forgiveness also.

true blades unless you are off a plus handicap will make the game harder, I'm not sure why anyone would do that.

why do you need to be off a plus handicap to be able to play with blades? Handicap can be a red herring regarding a players ability. It is not how I hit the ball that stops me from scoring low but the choices I make on the course.

They are the perfect halfway house, thin top line, just the right amount of offset and no huge looking cavity BUT massive forgiveness and a beautiful feel.

it is a generalisation of course but I can't think why you would want to make the game harder. If you have the ball striking ability fill your boots. IMO playing with blades wouldn't make me a better player.

handicaps surely are the only indicator of ability, the choices you make & how you hit the ball are part of the same package.

I do agree it's nice to look down at something pretty  but not at the expense of the main point which is playing the best you can.

good choice sir! i will this winter look at getting something similar, may with a PING on instead of something japanese!

(I may even go for the rocketbladz tour if they are any good )

Yes a handicap is the only way we can judge a players overall ability, but it does not break down his different abilities. I have played with low handicap golfers that do not strike the ball very well but play very good golf and vice versa. Feeling comfortable over the ball and liking what you see is important to confidence. The smaller the clubhead the more confident i feel. I have tried hitting larger more forgiving irons but they feel clumsy. Having had a couple of rounds with my club pros 710 MB's I hit the ball no worse, if anything i hit it better.
