Tried a G20 again yesterday and its like cheating its that easy to hit. Standard Ping shaft probably launches too high for me but its stupid easy to hit!

Not tried many of these drivers apart from the Callaway. For what it is worth, I don't think drivers have improved in terms of distance over the past five years as the R&A want to limit the technology. I always try and have a hit with other people's drivers when i play just to see if I can get a club that gives me a few more yards. Clearly the shaft is a major factor in this and I probably haven't used the club with the correct shaft for me but all that said, I am yet to hit a driver that goes further than my current one which is a Ping Rapture with an Aldila VS Proto 65S.
Save your pennies and get a Rapture off eBay. Long driver and easy to hit hard.

I am really enjoying the R11s now - took me a little time to get comfortable with it but cant really fault it. Longer and straighter so what more can you ask.
Having said that I mentioned in another thread that I tried a G20 when at the range as a guy next to me offered his to try and I thought it was just fantastic. As Craw says (several times) it is so easy to hit straight it is unbelivable.
