Which glove do you use?

Back in the 60's no one wore gloves so I never have. For the life of me I cannot see the advantage unless you suffer from sweaty hands

Don't wear one either (except in very wet weather).
Ben Hogan never did. Nor does Fred Couples,
Unless you can afford to change a glove after 2 or 3 rounds your bare hands will give as much grip.
Couples says his skin gives a better grip than any glove.

I use a footjoy prototype.

Or, a Srixon Cabretta. Best glove available for the money.

Swore not to use a glove last year. Got to the first proper hot day, and launched my 4i due to sweaty mitts. Not a good idea.

I also wear a big hole in my hand without using a glove.

I've tried playing without a glove and it's a real problem. I don't like the feel and I have a real mental issue with it. Add to the fact that as soon as it gets wet or hot and there is moisture on my hand the grip becomes compromised. A glove everytime for me

I usually buy nike or a mizuno from Golf Depot only £4.99 each but I have also bought an Aspri for just £2.99,but as said earlier..Do we really need one ?

Don't wear one either, for the same reasons.

Ben Hogan never did, or more recently Fred Couples, seem to recall that he said his bare hands gave him a better purchase on the club.

Currently using a footjoy sciflex comfy and does the job.

Gloves are rhe one thing I can't get excited about. I've tried loads and normally buy FJ or Mizuno mid range ones as they fit well. Normally I get the ones I get the best deal on as long as they are leather and fit properly.

Tried with no glove and it just feels wrong.

Got 10 cabetta gloves off fleabay last year for £12. No brand name (i'm not a brand whore) and I change them about every 6 weeks through the summer and put the changed one into the practice bag and get shot of the old practice one. Still got 3 new ones left I think , I use synthetic cheap and cheerful through the winter cos who cares at that time of year :p

Srixon for me as well. Cheap off ebay. Also got a few others kicking around in the bottom of my golf bag. One i've been really happy with is an adidas one. It was a gift and i've not seen them for sale anywhere else.

Always carbretta, synth ones make my hands sweat more than not wearing a glove at all.
Generally FJ but after my rejection for the freebie, may look elsewhere
Always have about 6-8 in the bag of which 3 are still in the wrapper.
Change quite regular

Vig, if you mainly use FJ gloves, what would be the point of sending trial stuff to you? You are already a customer, and what they need are new customers to convert from their preferred brands. (ok, they didn't know you use fj before rejecting you, but heck, that's just being picky).

Ditto for the Ping day at Walton Heath. Why fit half the guys for new Ping drivers when they already use them? Surely Ping would want to fit guys who use other brands, to convince them that Ping is better than what they use.

Murph, I agree with you on both points. The FJ quote was tongue in cheek.
