Hi. A group of 6 are travelling to The BMW Wentworth event on Saturday 10th. We’ve got a hotel booked in Windsor but wondering if anybody has any tips on which town nearby has a bit going on after the golf, bars etc. Beat to stay in Ascot, Windsor or any other recommendations.

Thanks in advance

I have not been there in years but back in the 70s some one said Peascod Street had 22 pubs.

The pizza express in Windsor has royal connections ??

Wrong Pizza Express , when in Windsor he may, though, have have had home delivery.

Windsor is lovely but very pricey, even for the South East. You get loads of Yanks go there, thinking they're going to find the queen and prince William having a pint in one of the very expensive pubs.

There is a park and ride for the tournament next to Sunningdale station, you might find something a bit cheaper a couple of stops out on the train. Woking perhaps?

Woking has quite a few places that have opened up in the past few years and isn't too far from the course, but the train connection from Virginia Water or Sunningdale is terrible as you have to change trains.

premier Inn in Wokingham town centre (lots of pubs and restaurants), very good prices, 5m walk to the station and 4 stops (20 min) to Sunningdale to puick up the bus for the 2 miles to Wentworth
