Why Oh! Why Oh! Why! Has another round been ruined with a cold putter?

Sure its important to hit the driver long and keep on the fairway.
Sure it important to be able to hit long irons and have a sharp short game.
But without a putter you have nothing

I have spent hours on the range and hours on my short game, but i get bored silly on the putting green and after 10/15 mins iv'e had it.

Its the one part of the jigsaw i have still to complete.

I do practice putting and do have training aids(thanks Bob),but don't commit the time to it that i do for the rest of the elements of the game.

When will i put the same effort into putting as i do with the rest of my game.

Am i the only one that finds this the worst part of there game?

If you can find a practice green with several holes this is what I do.

Take two balls and play from one hole to the next, two putts per ball is par, try and play 9 holes (making 18 counting the two balls) and make as close to par as you can over the 18 balls.

Off a 6 handicap you cant be that bad?

Have you had your putting technique checked? I was a terrible putter until I had my technique checked out. After a lesson and some bedding in time its a part of my game I no longer worry about.

I played today and for the first time ever i hit some decent drives and then a hybrid into 4 greens (all par 4) but then managed to walk away with ridicules scores...

Its a stupid game!

I'm happy with my putting tbh, very rarely 3 putt nowdays, just my irons and wedges letting me down.
Seeing as your playing off a 6 theres not much I can say considering I'm a relative n00b playing off 28, but at your level maybe you need a custom putter session or something?

Putting is the one thing I am good at. It just comes naturally. Is getting there to putt thats my problem.

After 10 three putts and 1 four putt I need a Miracle not a lesson. 32 points illustrates it's putt for dough

I have a bit of the OCD in me and so putting practice always become a battle of mind over matter and I force myself to stay there and hole out 10 3 footers etc. I putted well yesterday but it didn't save the rest of the game which wasn't great
