When is it too hot to play golf?

Spent a week in Turkey playing in 30 + Degrees heat, we did tee of really early in the morning when the temperature was around 25 and by the time the round was finished it was mid 30s. There was a Beer/Food cart that did offer free bottles of water around the course and you could help yourself to bottles on the first tee. We had buggies so using them as shade wasn't so bad and would jump at the chance to play in these conditions again though.

I've played in high 30's in Dubai and it was fine. It is a very dry heat with very little humidity so as stated, lots of water, hat and very high SPF cream.

Well ... Played Jebel Ali late yesterday afternoon _ still 36 and quite warm but was very nice, buggy, water, chilled flannel etc Tomorrow playing 8am so will be hot when i finish as it was 40 at midday today when me and Mrs got the bus to Abu Dhabi.

Did i mention I'd escaped UK, the GE and Brexit for ten days in Dubai? Well i have. 😎

Im just back from the Palm Tree Court after a great week of R and R. Great little course that can be tight in places. Played most mornings myself to miss most of the heat. Have fun 👍

I grew up playing golf in South Africa - averaged around 30 in the summer but had the odd hot day in mid to high 30's and I never remember it being that bad I couldn't play. Granted I was younger but I used to carry in those days too. The courses were set up for it though with drinking water fountains on every hole.

I've been to Dubai and theyre set up for it too.

i played golf on the hottest day ever recorded in Austria (41.7°). by the time the heat reached its peak i was already finished cause i teed off at 7.30. loads of water and a straw hat which is better venitlated than a baseball cap. try to keep in the shadow whenever possible and walk at a leasurely pace!
