when is a hole completed in 4 BBB?

Playing a bounce 4BBB game last week and on the 12th (SI5) one of our oppo, disappeared ( the on course toilet )

he was gone for about 20 mins, by the time he re appeared, we had finished the hole which was halved in pars all round and tee'd off on the 13th.

He walked over to the rough, chipped on and sank the put for a 4 (net 3) and claimed the hole.

it didn't really matter and no baring on the game as such, but what would the ruling be if it was a proper game?

PS none of us shook his hand on the 18th... just in case

From your description of what went on his partner played out the hole and accepted the result of the hole on behalf of the team. Further as you'd tee'd off on the 13th and prior to doing so his partner had not raised an issue with you that might need resolving after the round was completed, then the hole is done and dusted and no recourse after round over,

Love it - try telling the fella when he eventually reappeared and started on this - that if you had waited for him he could have been disqualified (btw does that disqualify his partner also?)

Discontinuation is only a DQ for the player - so it depends on what the other scores were.
Undue delay is a DQ for the side so the other side wins.

However, the remaining player did not hold things up and a fourball pair can play with only one player. You haven't mentioned having to wait for any length of time, so I would say undue delay doesn't apply.

in the orgi post, he was gone 20 mins which was from us playing our 2nd shots, we finished the hole and which was halved in 4's. then all 3 of us tee'd off on the 13th.
