I've had to bite the bullet and go out today and get myself a new phone. My old one wouldn't charge and Colch Jnr was getting annoyed with me charging his to 100% and then stealing his battery. I've installed WhatsApp on the new phone and can see all of the groups that I was part of but can't see any of the previous messages. Any ideas on how to get back all the previous messages?
EDIT - even the groups that I created are just showing "You created group" with the date and none of the messages.

Can I put the SIM card back in the old phone, back up and then put it back in the new phone? And if you could keep any response very simple as I'm a total technological retard. Thanks.
