I've gone for the Open but only by a hair's breadth. I love the Masters. Its the season opener, its a beautiful course and its got loads of memories of late night pizzas and beer for me. I remember many shots & winners from different Masters, my favourite being Jack's '86 win.

I remember fewer Opens, the first being Gary Player's win in '74. But my all time favourite Major tournament was the 1977 Duel in the Sun between Nichlaus and Watson.

Normally the Masters as the weather stops me wanting to be out on the course... for the other majors I'd rather be playing.

Edit: I dont really enjoy watching the US open. I want to watch the best golfers in the world play the most exciting and imaginative golf possible not the bore fest it normally always is.

I enjoy all of them, and the Masters is beautiful, but is effectively golf on a billiard table. Great in its own way, but a very long way removed from golf as I know it.

The masters, i think the sense of occasion is about the same, but i kind of like that it is at the same course every year, gives me a better understanding of the holes, and i can appreciate shots more

The Masters wins for me hands down. The course is stunningly beautifull, green,lush and the flowers contrasting with the white sands of the bunkers make it look fabulous compared to the brown dowdy rough laden British courses that the Open is typically played over. The Open is played over tough courses but for me nothing comes close to the majesty of Augusta National.

Man, this is tough. I feel like I should say The Open, and I want to say The Open, but the truth is The Masters is just a bit more...I don't know, it just excites me a bit more. I think it's because of staying up late to watch it when I was younger, along with the fact that you look forward to it for a few months. It gives it an added aura that makes it amazing.

Great event but, apart from the top 50, its basically an invitational..
