Given it's mass produced but always freshly made, but our restaurant at work does some excellent curries on a Wednesday (curry day). With a large Nepalese catering contingent that's perhaps no surprise but always full of flavour, and well made. And all for £3.95 including a poppadum and a small naan

Poppadoms with all the trimmings.
Kai Pidi Chops. Raza (chicken and Lamb tikka) Madras. Steamed Rice.
Aloo Gobi. Keema Naan plus ice cold lager. It's always a cheeky bonus as the Mrs usually leaves half of hers so I get a doggy back for my breakfast.

By a very long way, the best I have had was in Male, capital of the Maldives. I was struggling to understand the menu but it was sensational - downside, no alcohol with it.

South Indian chicken tandoori Murgi

Very rich made in a sauce with minced lamb. Not hot just very warm.

Mushroom pilau and a dripping wet garlic butter naan.

Chicken pakora, onion Bahji and Saag bahji on the side.

Ironically the worst curry I ever had was in Cochin, Kerala region. In south India.

Was full of bones and I got very drunk and crashed a tuk tuk by driving it from the back seat.

Ill eat most things on the menu, and over the course of the year I probably do. If pushed currently then a King Prawn Dhanshak with an onion bhaji, a niramish and either a Keema or Peshwari naan all washed down with a few bottles of Bangla

I usually go for a Chicken Tikka or Lamb Karahi. Or a Chicken Sabzi which has Potatoes and Chick peas...love chick peas in a Curry!
Also like a Tandoori Chicken on occasion too.

I eat a lot of Curry and I prefer the home made..meat Off the bone cafe type places.
Great place in Cheetham Hill Mcr called Kabana.
Love a Kobedah Too..


Got to mention the place we went too When at Sunningdale last year.. Moghul In Bagshot. One of the best currys I've had.

Meat off the bone!!!! Sacrilege to any Asian chef.

Lamb Rogan Josh, Keema Naan. Not bothered about rice, it just fills me up.

Prawn on puri or lamb tikka kebab for starter.

As a snack I love a Samosa.

Frankly, I love Indian food, yes I know much of it has been Anglicised but so what. Best Indian I've been to is The Jinnah in Harrogate, set in an old church.

The Rick Stein book is a good one if you want to try cooking some Indian food.

Place near me does a giant bananamosa with ice cream as a dessert :thup:

Chilli paneer, chilli mogul and masala chips for starters, main I’ll eat anything but I love dhal and roti with some rice.

I am spoilt as my wife is Indian and both her and my mother in law are amazing at cooking.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the curry capital of the world - Bradford. Unbelievable curries of all price ranges.

I don't have a regular dish as I like to keep trying but my go to curry is normally a lamb saag and garlic naan. Kiplings in Greengates, near me does a fantastic saag.

You can pay between £4.50 to £12 for a curry round here. Proper old school, formica tables, old guys sat in a corner knocking out chapati's to dim lighting, fancy small portions with knives and forks!!! Kashmir and Karachi (which was on one of Rick Steins programmes a few years ago) are probably 50/60 years old now and haven't changed a lot in that time.

Succulent pieces of lightly spiced chicken / lamb cooked in a mild creamy sauce with mango power and almonds and juicy pieces of mango.

...and I'll be having this on Saturday night at when we are out for our grandsons 16 birthday....and so will he.

Don't know if you would call it curry, but whilst in Sandakan Borneo recently I had a " triple sauce chicken" it was as good a meal as I have had anywhere.
PS, in the same meal, me and Missis T had a starter, Main, 3 cans of beer for Tashyboy. Can of coke for Missis T, for the princely sum of £10 the lot. 👍

I like anything with curry in the title but my favourite was Chicken Makhanwala which I had when I went to Kerala. And it only cost 90p.

Anything mild and creamy. Korma, tikka masala, passander, butter chicken. Love a lamb rogan josh as well. I normally get one of those five. With special fried rice, keema naan and onion bhajees.
