What's the strongest part of your game

On average about 180-190. I bought the club not long after i started playing and it just clicked. Tis my go to club, the one i feel most comfortable using.

Thanks, so 2 x 5 irons on most par 4's then, sometimes just falling short but staying out of trouble, chip on and play bogey golf at worse? Do you think if you started to risk more clubs for a little more distance either off the tee or 2nd shots you'd come down more or are you comfortable where you are?

What is the point of lugging a fairway wood around you if you're not prepared to give it an oink every now and then???
Faint heart never won a fair maiden
;)

Off the tee?

I'm just playing devils advocate in some of this Rob so some people reading can possible relate to their own game through the Q&A's, and you never know, may try to change or adjust what they normally do which doesn't work enough for them at the moment and try something else.

I've done it when reading some posts that I don't necessarily contribute to but try something different that I've read.

I'm playing nicely, its the new me :smirk:

I've absolutely mastered being last to the bar!

A decent short game, especially putting. Long game is usually pants.

Strongest part of my game is walking off the 18th green.......

In all honesty my strength varies from round to round.
Putting is usually decent
Driving less so.
Approaches - hey, which day of the week is it..?
Short game - see above.

I'd say my strength really is recovery shots ( I get a lot of practice) - I got the nickname Pargrinder at my last club as I seemed to be able to get pars from the most unlikely of positions.

Driving is pretty good at the moment.
Fairway woods are shocking, always have been.
Irons are really good just now.
Chipping is ok
Putting is ok.

So I guess iron play, at the moment, is the strongest part of my game.

Which again is what I come to expect from single/low handicappers, I've played against enough of them in matchplay games watching them get into trouble only for me to play safe and then they come from the bowels of the course to hit the green and half or steal the hole

Off the tee at the moment is my strongest part...although my iron play is starting to come good again, now I am trying to forget technical aspects of the swing. My short game is awful at times, so needs work, however, my putting can be really strong, although never really hole any 'bombs'

Long game not too bad and mid irons generally good. I would take on 225 green with a fairway wood opposed to a couple of 9 irons.

Pitching, chipping, putting are not strengths by any stretch of the imagination.

I believe my best part of my game at the moment is my short game from
75 yards and in.
I will grab my 3 wood if need be from a long way out and hope to get up and down.
Where I get a shot on a hole a bogey is not a disaster as the score keeps ticking along.
Another thing is not to try and keep up with the better player with there driving,in the
end its embarrassing when his 3 wood goes past your driver.:D

Short irons, 130 yds in. Unfortunately I am not then good enough with the putter to finish them off. Rarely muff a short iron though, shame it takes me too many to get to that stage. An earlier poster mentioned how they did not understand someone looking for a full shot in. I am genuinely consistent from 100yds, despite the h/c, so on a long hole rather then struggle to over hit hybrids or long irons I will aim to get the ball to the 100yd mark as I know from there I am comfortable. Play to your strong points.
