The sixth hole at Mullion GC has a lateral, leading into a normal, water hazard to the right side of the green.
To prevent trollies and buggies encroaching on the fringe of green the club has placed a bridge over hazard. wide enough to take a buggy.
Question: If the ball is in the hazard but cannot be played as it lies because of interference by an immovable object (the bridge), what options does the player have.
Similarly, if the ball lies on the bridge, and is inside the yellow stakes, can he take a drop off it, and if so would this be back in the hazard?
There are no local rules at this time.

Except when the ball is in a water hazard or a lateral water hazard, a player may take relief from interference by an immovable obstruction. So, no.

On the bridge and between the yellow stakes - play the ball as it lies or take a penalty drop. The bridge will be classed as being part of the water hazard (unless there is a local rule to the contrary.
