I'm down on last years comps as well. last year played an away open every week and a club comp during the week plus a medal at Tain at the weekend. A few guys i know get another comp in a week in Seniors comps as well.

I'm next on the reserve list for the mcgregor trophy (england under 16's strokeplay). From the 12th-14th July, should get in. Got a junior open on the 29th July. Another national tournament the south of england boys open, on the 2nd and 3rd August. And I'm playing golf at various clubs every day because I've finished my exams.

Phew!!! into the semi-finals after beating probably the most consistent golfer at our club!
Received 4 shots but for some reason won the holes where I didn't get shots instead. Flew out of the blocks going 3 up after 3 before he pulled one back with a birdie. Got a shot on the next 2 holes but only managed to half those.
Was still 3 up after 9, but then only 1 up after 15. Won the par 5 16th to go dormie 2 and then closed it out on 17.
Very, very satisfying.
Volvo singles due tomorrow night has had to be deferred as my opponents house burnt down today in Bushey!! A mirror in his bedroom directed sunlight onto the curtains which caught fire........
Major damage and obviously golf is the last thing on his mind right now.
