A great ball striker off of 8, struggles with their short game or A average ball striker with a mickleson type short game off of 8?
Personally myself id opt for the first, because i think that with lots of practice short game can come, whereas being a good ball striker does not just come from practice. I put myself into the first category, i haven't got an official handicap yet, but when my short game falls into place ( like yesterday) i shot an 82, not bad considering 6 weeks ago i considered myself a 22 handicapper, i think this shows the importance of the short game, but at the same time i think it can be fixed quicker than the long game, views?
