Not in my house, my kids are grilled if they don't say their P's & Q's.
I probably would have made joke of it when he asked me, something along the lines of "That's got to be worth a drink at least!", sparked a bit more of a conversation where hopefully he'd produce some manners. If not and he came across as a bit of a prat, then I probably would have left it there.

I would have taken a selfie with it covering a certain part of my anatomy and printed it in a reward style poster asking for a 5 quid release fee (or a simple thank you). with a condition that the washing of the putter cover was the owners responsibility.
It was a putter cover he had lost not a thimble:thup:

If i had seen it i would hand it in but i would not of gone out of my way to look for it.
