What would you do......

Ban black shoes with black work socks, when worn with shorts. Not good.

I guess most will change the play it out of a divot rule, or the penalty drop from a flooded bunker.

Me? I would go back to one rule, play it as it lies. No relief. From anything.

but the decisions book would still be big enough to prop up the leaning tower of Pisa

I would change the halfway house to be a third way house and have two of them so you can have 2 bacon butty stops. Forward thinking is good!! :)

In light of this afternoons halt in play, how about if your ball moves on the green then you just put it back without penalty?

I don't think you can ever bring in a rule about divots because it would just lead to players moving the ball any time they wanted. How would you realistically define a divot?

I do agree with the one about the ball moving when it's been addressed on the green. But only the green, not elsewhere on the course.

As for shorts and black socks, those people should, in the words of the late Kenny Everett, rounded up so we can bomb the bastards!

Seconded................Its an absolutely ridiculous rule....And also this to add who has the honour on the next tee.....My view.....Whoever is ready to play.....

The honour system is a good rule imo, it helps build pressure and also lets those who have lost a hole have a chance at winning the next back if their opponent makes a bad tee shot and they can be more conservative.

Ban caddies from lining up all shots for their players. Goodbye Robert Rock and ladies pro golf! ;)
