Guys, I'm looking to get a new set of wedges. I guess no manufacturer makes a poor product so probably can't go wrong? Any recommendations.
Probably going to avoid vokeys as they are that bit costly compared to others options available and not sure id see any increased performance.
Looking towards Cleveland, TaylorMade mg4, Callaway opus...

I went with Callaway ones from PreOwned in "Like New" condition. Got the black full toe ones, think they cost about £75 each in the sale. All of them were brand new. I would get the correct price if you give me 3 hours for the site to load.

Yes I think the Mac Daddies were better.
They might not have any left though.

Cleveland wedges are excellent also.

Worth working out what specs you want before deciding on a brand.
Some of the grind/bounce/loft combinations are not always available in certain lofts.
And, although S grind is fairly universal between brands, the letter of the grind can vary between manufacturers...

I just bought the cheapest ones in the sale at the time. Turns out having 12° of bounce on a links course isn't really beneficial. I just lean it forward and come in steeper to remove some.

Mine are Jaws, not the raw ones though. Full toe, grooves right to the end. I was expecting the black to look horrible after a while but they still look good.

Depending on skill level and the courses he plays I’d be very careful about getting lost in grind specs, especially with our climate changing course conditions every yearX

I got the Cleveland CBX4 in a 48 and 54 - super forgiving but also allow for a lot of finesse. I love them. Would probably go for something full faced next time in the 54 though.

Kirkland are worth considering.
3 wedge set for the price of 1 Vokey.
Another vote for these! Returning to game this year I’ve gone full Kirkland, Driver, Irons and Wedges for budget and quality they’re superb.

The wedges sit really well behind the ball, good feel through impact and plenty of spin when needed.

Vokeys and Vega do what you want them to do, but if not looking to get the most out of a wedges, I'd buy the cheapest available.

I’ve got Ping wedges. They seem to last well compared to some.
They have an extra groove very low of the face that helps with spin on less than full shots.

I have got a couple of Dunlop/ Slazenger wedges in my collection.
What makes them so cheap is the really poor shafts in them rather than poor design or 'build' quality of the head.

When it comes to buying wedges my 'go to' in recent years has been older model Clevelands which could be picked up for half the price of other well known makes. The only downside to them I have found is the chrome tends to wear quicker.

Looking for a cheap 60 degree to try I saw the Kirklands and they looked a really good deal.

Another vote for Ping from me.

I have the Ping S159 wedges in 54 & 58. Plenty of bounce options, seem durable and a feature I like is a slightly longer grip, allowing you to grip down the shaft yet still be gripping rubber rather than the shaft. Have really helped my short game improve since I bought them (and replaced my previous Vokeys).

Too many variables to comment
Loft
How many
Loft of your 9 iron
Blade/cavity back/offset
Bounce
Grind
Steel/graphite shaft
etc
Impossible to advise so here's my suggestion
46 PW.....52 GW.....58 SW
Steel shaft
Blade
Average bounce
Titleist SM 9

Last year I tried Vokey, TM and Mizuno and they all looked and felt very similar. Didn't see the point in spending more for a Vokey. I'm guessing Cleveland and Callaway would be similar story.
