now I am playing on a regular basis I buy titleist dt roll, but this is about to change to velocity or pro v1

The first golf ball I used? Would that be the hacked ones I got from my dad so that I could peel the cover off and unwind all the elastic to get to the sac of white goo in the centre?

Top Flite was the first I seemed to get on with and were cheap so that's mine. Still got some in the shed I think.

Dunlop DDH. You could get something like 50 for a fiver which when you lost as many as I did when I first started was a good thing.

Commando…….tough as old boot, very dependable, very reliable, hard as nails, sore on the arms on off centre hits, cheap as chips and ran for about 200 yards with a got top off the tee…………Got one in the car, it reminds me of when I first started in my drunken period.

AD333 and still using them now, I did find a RBZ ball yesterday and give it a bash, flushed a 6 iron on a par 3 of 175 YRDS and flew the green, S3 clocked 191 YRDS total  don't know if it was just the ball but there was no wind. Might be because I'm smashing the gym again. Felt like a brick off the putter though.

For me it was the Nike PD Long. Nice and cheap, decent too. For my ability a reasonably priced distance ball is all i'm after. I choose the Titleist Velocity now because I'm a golf tart, and, when hitting it flush, it works for me.

I played whatever was affordable initially then moved to titleist professionals and maxfli revolutions (still dont know why they discontinued them) once I started playing as a member of a club, with a handful of lessons, mizuno tzoid weapons and these balls, I came down from 12 to 6 in the space of a few months.

Started when Top Flites were on the "XL2000" version. Used be sold in 15 ball boxes as opposed to dozens for all the others and was a lot cheaper.

Brendy I'm with you. The Maxfli Revolution was an absolute belter of a golf ball, soft, long, feel, spin, the works. Yes it went that yellow way quite quickly but I loved that ball.

For many years just used odds and ends. First dozen box I bought were Top-Flites but only because they were cheap. The first balls I used on a regular basis because I actually thought they were good were Maxfli XS Tour, then moved on to Maxfli Revolutions.
